*********. I really feel ripped off. I had to call to remind them they’d said they be there ‘within a few days’…I GUESS one week later is ‘a few’ to some people. They arrived and left within 10 minutes. My main concerns were the plants growing in one small spot in the back and the inner surfaces and lip of the gutter in front. There is a gutter guard on the front. It was disgusting looking. I called and they kept saying they wanted to email me my recorded phone conversation. I denied the request bc I don’t open attachments from outside places like this. They told me the gutter guard is not considered part of the gutter and they don’t clean the outside. Explaining how the guard has a prominent rolled edge on it, part of it IS on the interior of the gutter. They didn’t send anyone back to remedy it, ‘offered me a discount of around 10%’ and when asking to speak with a manager or supervisor, was put on hold, then cut off. The work was marginal, the customer service confirms they live in the world of idiocracy, where ‘customer service’ is a foreign language. Never again.

I had a very bad experience with *************’s Gutter replacement services. I requested for the existing gutters on the entire left side of the house and received a quote. The quote for the replacement was given without a visit to the house. When the crew turned up, they only replaced a section of the gutters and refused to replace a smaller section, which had a separate downspout that required an oversized gutter. When I complained to the office, they agreed to return it on a separate occasion to replace it.A couple of months went by, and after another call to the office, another crew arrived. They were only prepared to replace the horizontal section with an oversized gutter, not the existing downspout, which was not oversized. The crew’s supervisor was very loud and rude and suggested that I should not be complaining since the company was replacing it for free. He refused to accept that an oversized horizontal gutter required an oversized downspout. The crew left without replacing the gutter.I paid for a service that I never received.I canceled my annual *************’s gutter cleaning service and will never use Ned Stevens Gutter Cleaning service again.

After requesting leaf clearing of my gutters, *** Stevens continues to return unannounced to perform services that were not approved. This includes snake cleaning, tick removal (in the middle of winter), chimney repair, etc.Since they do not announce their arrival or work, they perform services and then send invoices. When I see them on my property, I have insisted that they leave without performing work.I have requested by phone and via email to end these unwanted service calls. Their newest invoice is for work on the chimney and when they were at my house in January I asked them to leave or I would call the police.The owners of this home are in their 90s and *** Stevens is certainly taking advantage (if not abusing) to the elderly.Be warned!

I had my gutter cleaned back in October 2023 and there hasnt been major rain , last weekend noted the gutter still clogged and not draining. ***** manager wants to charged me another $180 to clean out the gutter again . What a rip off barely less than 60 days !

MINUS ZERO STARS! He is a *****! Dropped a ladder on the hood of my car and told me he would pay out of pocket but NEVER did so had to file insurance claim with ******************** and pay $500! He now refuses to answer insurance company saying they will pay them it’s been 10 months and no one can even find who their insurance broker is! Do Not use this company they should not even be in business they are the absolute worst!

Came to my house in September. Never rang the doorbell. Glad I was dressed already and my 2 dogs were not out in the yard. Never said they were leaving. Threw the bill on the porch. Cracked my siding. I mailed in a check within a few days. First they said it could take 30 days. Then they sent me another bill. I called again, the man said they had the check and would cash it right away. 2 weeks later I called again. It still was not deposited. So I wrote to the owner by email. Now they are saying it was never received. I am beyond upset at this point. I think they threw it out so they dont get in trouble for not cashing it for so long as he said the girl was so busy and I passed a comment about maybe they dont want to pay their quarterly taxes right away when they are super busy some months. *********************

The customer service is a joke. They are definitely one of the worst companies Ive ever worked with. They actually make there employees fill out reviews and set up fake accounts to keep there ratings. Do your stuff a favor and stay away from them. Much better local companies out there for the same price or cheaper

*** Stevens company put new gutters on our home. They were bent. We didn’t notice any of that until later but the service of the gutter cleaning it was horrible I had my car in the shop one day so there was no car outside *** Stevens company came to clean my gutters. I seen the van pull up I seen them walk around the backyard they put the ladder against the house, and then they took the ladder down. Then I caught them trying to come to the front door and put the bill there. I open the door and I said no no you didn’t do a **** thing. The guy did not speak any English and he kept trying to give me this bill right away I called the company and they were disputing it. I told them exactly what happened and the service person did nothing about it they still sent the bill. After that I drop them. But besides for that the gutters that they installed in my backyard were crooked not put on right and right now I’m having a major problem with trying to repair them myself. Watch out for this company they want year contract. Do not give it to them *** Stevens is nothing but a rip-off con artist and he hires people who do not speak English so therefore that’s his Escape goat. Find somebody better this company is horrible nothing but a nightmare

They were to clean our gutters. They showed up without ringing our doorbell and just started working with ladders against our house and almost lost our dogs that were in the backyard. Our daughter stopped them from opening the gate.When they said they aren’t obligated to ring doorbells we told them to leave. I think the front was done but they never did the back of the house. We have full CAMERA’S and they show they were on our property for less than 10 minutes. Nor did they ever hook up to our water spigot to do the proper job. Dangerous practice to just put a ladder up against the house without announcing themselves early in the morning. My wife should have called the police to report peeping toms. A supervisor promised not to charge us but of course they did. Follow up phone calls result in talking with difference “supervisors” . One said nothing can be done and another offered us a discount on future services. Can’t wait to see how they defend themselves when our camera’s show that they never did the back of the house.

You were given an appointment ahead of our current lead time, which pushed you up ahead of customers that previously booked. As we explained to you multiple times, a human error occurred which caused the job not to be scheduled on the date originally given. We apologized multiple times for the error, yet you chose to speak harshly to my agents and one of my supervisors. Not sure how you say we are only in it for the money when we never charged you for anything?

One of the worst customer service experiences Ive ever had. In November of 2022, I was looking for quotes for gutter **************************** Stevens was one of the companies I contacted. They told me what it involved but when I asked about scheduling an appointment, I was told they dont schedule specific days, which was unsatisfactory to me, because I want to chose a *********** that works with MY schedule. All that they said was they would contact me when they were on their way, which again, was unsatisfactory. They took some information but never to my knowledge did they send a contract/ agreement for me to sign to confirm that I wanted to officially hire them for the job. They contacted me in mid-December, at which time I told the representative that I was tapped out financially & could not afford to have the service done. The representative said they would check back in June for a follow up. Had they actually done so, I would have told them that someone I knew had already cleaned my gutters for ****** did not need them to do it. Instead, they showed ** in June & had done the job (without my permission) in a text. I cant access texts or email while Im at work, so I did not know they had gone to my home, said they did the job & billed me until later on. I registered my concerns to a rep the next day, then called again a day later & the rep I spoke to first told me they had recorded my phone calls with them & implied they were proof I had committed to their service which was a pressure tactic in my opinion. If they had recordings of my call, they would have known about my financial situation. I asked the rep if I could possibly do some kind of payment plan & he said I could do one for $50 & they would send me something to confirm that, but they never did. Instead, they are pressuring me to pay in full & will add additional charges if I dont after a specific period of time. Turns out the only thing they were good at was stressing me out & making me feel threatened.

*** Stevens acquired the gutter cleaning company we used for years – without notification. They showed up unannounced, did nothing other than fuddle around with a ladder pretending to set it up and then left in 5 mins. Guess they didnt realize we were home watching and taping. We receive postcards weekly advertising all they can do – gutter cleaning, power washing, all while you are NOT home. Dont fall for it – if youre getting work done on your home, BE THERE. But, no matter what, dont hire *** Stevens. This so called company is a racket.

Had *** Stevens come to my house for a few gutter cleanings. Everything went alright until the last one where their team came out, performed the service and left in a hurry (knocking over my garbage cans on the way out). I went outside to pick up the cans and looked back at the house and noticed that my entire 2nd floor window frame had been completely ripped off. I immediately went up to investigate and the entire thing was missing as well as all the debris that would be there. I immediately contacted them and they asked to send pictures and file a complaint. After 2 weeks of hearing nothing, I had to contact them. They said we’re fully insured to cover damages but we don’t think our team did this so we’re not going to cover any of the damage. So basically, they are insured, but it’s your word vs theirs. It’s completely ridiculous. Just because they say I don’t think my team would have done this, that’s good enough, call it a day it wasn’t done. I have absolutely zero trust in them. They definitely have false advertising in their coverage of damage. Only if their team reports the mistakes they make do they cover. Why would their team report their own mistake? There’s no incentive to do that, it’s customer’s word vs their team’s word….such a con.

*** Stevens sent me a bill and charged me for work that could not have possibly been completed. The day they say the service was performed, it was icy rain out and they noted the gutters were cleaned, however gutter guards which cover 100% of the gutters were installed prior to the date *** Stevens supposedly did the work. I would not recommend or use this company again. I would rate them zero stars but this review system does not allow me to release this review without selecting at least one star.

Beware. Sent someone to my house to replace gutter inaccessible from the street. Was supposed to make an appointment but claims they replaced gutter while I was at work. Damage still exists. Refuse to the responsibility. I see from other reviews this is typical. HORRIBLE PEOPLE.

The gutters/downspouts were supposed to be inspected and bands, hangers etc re-attached. I specifically told the person taking the appointment that one downspout was 100% clogged and the weight of water in the gutter was causing it to slightly pull away from the fascia. I told him which downspout and which gutter. The gutter is exactly as it was before, (I have photos taken the morning after you were supposedly here). and because of this I have ZERO confidence that the gutters/downspouts were cleared. There was no debris anywhere on the property bagged or otherwise. There’s no indication a ladder was ever put up. The only indication that anyone was here is a door hanger! Luckily I declined to give my CC # ahead… so if you want to get paid then make this right! Oh… I tried calling several times… NOBODY ANSWERED!

I’m giving this business one star because the service requested was performed. However, my property was NOT left in good order as promised. In fact, a large branch was broken off of my Japanese Maple **** and only some of the debris was collected…very sloppy. Also, the Manager that contacted me regarding this matter was not willing to reach a fair resolution.

This company wouldn’t schedule an appointment for gutter cleaning using customer schedule. They work only on their schedule and use text ahead messaging only. But, then this doesn’t allow customer to get home in time to watch work being performed. I received their text ahead message at noon that said I was the next house and they would be arriving in 60 mins or less. I received their text message that the work was completed at 12:30 pm. Would you trust that the work was performed?

I contacted *** Stevens on April 8, 2022 for an estimate for same day service downspout cleaning. I should have checked BBB first, especially considering the woman on the phone told me that they were accredited and had “wonderful ratings”. First lie down. She then asked me some questions and seemed a bit unfamiliar on how to quote for a multi-family property. I was given a quote for $436 to clean the downspout. Not sure what that has to do with square footage. Figured it was a good deal for same day service. I let the representative know I would be calling back after I get approval from the building owner.I call back a couple of hours later and get someone else. They have my quote pulled up but suddenly they can’t offer same-day service because i missed the “noon cutoff”. The former rep never said this to me. Instead she kept referring to “her company” and repeating the same info about their good reputation. She never mentioned a same-day or next-day service fee either. The new rep then said they could do the next day, but I’d still have to pay an extra $100. Now we’re over $500 for an easy job. This is DOUBLE what everyone else had quoted. They told me they can’t make appointments, they will just call you between 7am-5pm when they are on the way. UHHHHHHH wtf? So someone has to take an entire day and sit around and wait for these scammers? No thanks. I let the rep know that this was dirty business. Bait and switch. Lying. Not able to commit to a time. All huge red flags. I was furious for the awful service and I didn’t even have any work done by them!Seriously, avoid these scammers. I’m so glad I didn’t give them any money or attempt to have them perform any work because I’m sure they would come out and pretend to work and then leave, charging us extra.

I received poor/unsatisfactory service from this company on 4 Mar 2022. My original request (scheduled on 21 Feb) was for them to repair two areas on my gutter system where dripping/leaks occur for several hours after it rains. The main area where the leak occurs is visible from the street. I also requested my gutters to be cleaned. My girlfriend was present at home when the crew arrived on Friday, 4 Mar 2022. They knocked on the door and told her they would be cleaning the gutters. She showed them the main gutters on the front and side of the house and said “let me know if you need anything else.” She works from home on the top floor of the residence (closest to the gutters) and at no point during the ***** mins they were at the house did she hear any noises of ladders being raised or moved, leaf blowing near the top of the house, or any other sounds that a cleaning or inspection was being done. I learned about all of this after I left work for the day. I called the company to find out if they repaired the gutter leaks. I was told the recommended an additional gutter flashing service for ~$450, but that no other problems were noted with the gutter system. In fact, the operator/service rep said the gutters were in “perfect condition.” He also told me the crews work very quietly, which is probably why my girlfriend could not hear the cleaning, despite her working at the level closest to the roof gutters. I was unhappy that the main task, repairing the gutters, was not accomplished. I asked to speak with a manager and she called later that day. I also sent an email to regarding the service to their service feedback email, where I explained to should not be charged the full amount because the service was not adequate.On Sunday, 6 Mar, I was charged the full amount of the estimate, $219, despite the requested work not being completed. I cancelled a follow-up service the manager scheduled, because I no longer trust this company.

Have been a customer for 3 yrs w/ acceptable svc until this yr. Gutter was to be cleaned on or near 12/9 each year. By end of January, this has not been done. Called 4x and was told they would get to it but couldn’t say when, only that they would phone when they were en route.When I called to complain and eventually cancel my svc, was told that they would give me a discount to retain me as a customer. With the discount, it turned out I was quoted the same amount as previous years so I called again to alert them only to be told that there was a cost increase in September so the discount was not really a discount.The reasons given for delay was that leaves fell late this yr and although I know about other company’s staffing issues with resignations and Covid-19, there have been plenty of days between 12/9 and 1/30 where the weather was warm and dry to do this job. The business practices of not notifying the customer, a 2 month delay in service, and poor customer service response is not acceptable. I am therefore obligated to file this complaint. Service was out of the ***********, ** office but all documentation and billing states Fairfield, **.

They cleaned my gutters and took off all the the gutter guards as a result they left screws in my driveway. When I came home from work I never look to see that the screws was scatted about. In the morning I had two flat tires. I contacted them and they said that unfortunately there was nothing they could do. At my expense I had to take care of the repairs to the tires. We cleaned the driveway never realizing that the left the screws that they cleaned ** in front of my my property in the street again I had to replace one tire and repair one tire. They should have refunded me some of my money for these unnecessary repairs. If they would have cleaned up properly this would have never happened. I would never recommend them to anyone.

When we called to make an appointment, we told the scheduler that we have awning gutters. The reply was that this would not be a problem. We made an appointment. The team arrived to clean our gutters. Suddenly, they were gone and the awning facia plates on the southwest of the home were lying on the ground and they did not talk to us about this, they just left. The big question is- did they do this? I took pictures and I immediately called the 888 number. The man said to send the pictures to the email and he would talk to the team to determine the situation. We did not hear back from him that day. This morning someone calls and said that he did not get any information from the team. His answers were very vague and evasive when we pushed for more specific information. We determined that the policy is for the team to not talk to the customer, rather, they leave a door hanger placard on the front door handle for the customer to call and find out what the problem is. He is not able to explain why the fascia plates are off of the house and lying on the ground. Their policy about the team not talking to the customer is not right. Communication is everything in business! If they are not able to clean our gutters I would like to have that explained to us up front. And there should have been some mention in their report about the fascia plates needing to be repaired. For the fact that we informed them that we have awning gutters [the scheduler said was not a problem and that they later said they cannot clean] and then the poor communication and policy of dealing with customers in this way, I have to give them 1 star. If I could give less stars I would.

Every gutter system is different, if we could perform the job we would have. The customer did indicate that the *********************** were attached to the home but that doesn’t always mean the job can’t be completed. I’m very sorry for the inconvenience but we are an honest and reputable company that was just trying to do what is best for the customer.

I hired this company to clean my gutters they said that algae was found on my roof and it would cost $595 to clean ,and $205 to stop water from leaking between my gutters and roof I told the woman that at this time it was too much for me, so she offered a reduction in price to $684 total, they sent out two men almost 3weeks later, they sprayed my roof with some Bleach smelling liquid, and left the next day I got a **** for $700 I had already given them $100, so I tried explaining to the man that the price was wrong, and about the reduction I was given he then told me that no one had agreed to the reduction in the price, and the job was completed, but all they did was sprayed the room, no one has come back to check if what they had done accomplished the task, then the rain came and wash all that stuff on to my gutters, so now we are in the process of hiring another company to fix and clean the gutters, I gave them ONE STAR and that was ONE TOO MANY, can we give a ZERO STAR THATS WHAT THEY DESERVES

When they come out to your home for service they are wonderful but the last year you can’t even get them to come out even though you are on their scheduled service plan. Now it is going to snow and we don’t have our gutters cleaned. They also raise the price this year and still haven’t been out. Seems like to me they are servicing way more clients than they can handle.
