Canceled service, they still sent someone out without informing the crew that it was canceled. Canceled all services with them, now they call from multiple numbers with robo calls and spam my voicemail even after I told them not to contact me.

IT’S AMAZING! THEY ARE STILL CALLING ME FROM A PRIVATE NUMBER AND LEAVING VOICEMAILS!

I am not satisfied with their service at all. They cleaned my gutter, and I do not have any comment on that, as I didn’t check the quality on the rooftop. However, after repeatedly informing them, they cleaned my dryer vent twice as per their sms service, and it was not cleaned at all. They might be cleaned wrong vent. Bad part is, they collected credit card information before start work and charged for the wrong service, not sure if they damaged something.

STAY AWAY! I hired Ned Stevens Gutter Cleaning to clean the gutters of on my home, and I don’t think they did a good job of that. They didn’t properly clean the downspouts which were clogged.

More importantly, they lie to sell other services. They told me my gutters were not slopped down, I had them checked by another contractor and they are fine.

I will never do business with this company again.

Very poor communication. Scheduling is too vague – when scheduling, they say “someone will be there next week” but not a date/timeframe. Technicians did not show up the week indicated (no date /time block offered as with most services) and no communications to indicate they wouldn’t show or to reschedule for another week or so after the fact. Customer service associate was condescending, dismissive, and rude. Whatever was cleared by the technicians was left in a bag on my front lawn when they should have disposed of it themselves. They marked on the card they left behind that they found a problem, but nothing more was written or communicated. I called customer service and they said nothing was reported. I really did not like any part of this process at all, and though the technician was polite, I don’t think I will use this company again.

For three reasons, I personally will not be using Ned Stevens Gutters for future work:

(1) Lack of integrity in the pricing of the job. Although this was my mistake for not catching it earlier, the fact still remains that in my opinion it reflects behaviors done by a dishonest and shady business.

(2) Inability to meet promised delivery dates, taking two weeks more than originally indicated, and that ONLY after I called to complain and “threatened” to cancel the job.

(3) Poor workmanship and damage (albeit minor) to property due to carelessness. Their lack of consideration for personal property reflects an inferior work ethic. (one example in pic)

Because you have no reply email or any text message communication I am forced to leaving this message here, Ned, after receiving a no reply invoice via email from you. I did not approve another Ned Stevens gutter cleaning and my only and last conversation with your representative was a’NO for now’ and to only do a 1 time service. She even told me that i could change my mind and get the discount price in the future instead of the one-time service price of $193.00–Besides that, the NS rep said if i enrolled in the membership that the treatments would be $159 not this $193.49 that you have unauthorizedly deducted from my credit card when i paid you for a 1 time service back in May.

You also did not send me any notification of a scheduled service and i had no idea that your service people were coming, yesterday, August 9th— during a wind and rain storm, which was pointless because the storm just continued to break tree branches, leaves and debris which only filled the gutters after your servicemen cleaned them. I tried to engaged in a conversation with them and they didn’t even understand English, and just continued on doing Ned Stevens gutter cleaning throughout the rain and wind with tree debris falling. That was very deceptive and unfair of you.

Horrible experience. Ned Stevens cleaned my gutters and discovered I had an underground drain which was clogged. They could not address when cleaning the gutters, as a separate appointment was required. I was told they would be by within the week. They never showed although customer service confirmed they would be at my home. Very misleading with poor service. I called to cancel my gutter contract and they could care less that they missed the appointment. You would be better off with a TRUE local contractor.

Said they completed the job, I wasn’t home at the time. I grabbed the ladder and checked every inch. There were cobwebs, leaves, silt, sand, moss and no drop of water in the gutters as that’s how they clean them. No water evidence anywhere. I called to complain that they didn’t do a thing, only put a flyer in the door. They lied about cleaning the gutters when nobody was home, I will never be able to trust them again. They came out again, I watched from start to finish and took video. They didn’t clean the gutters then either. They stood on the roof and arched water into the downspouts. They asked “See the water”, “Is it good”, then said I couldn’t video them without permission…at the end of the job. One was on phone and said I was crazy in the head. I told the other one I know some Spanish and repeated what the other said. The guy said he called his boss that, not me, then started walking toward me. I told him to stop and leave my property immediately. I took 5 videos and sent them to the company to prove what they did and didn’t do. My husband came home, got on ladder, reached into a section of gutter and pulled out a huge clump of debris. Btw, from the time they pulled up to the time they left it was maybe 20 minutes. We canceled our account.

They cleaned the gutters – that was the only good part. I explicitly told them they cannot walk on the slate roof, but they intentionally ignored me and walked on the slate roof and damaged it. They removed gutter guards and threw them in the garbage. I had to tell them to put the gutter guards back on the gutters. The gutter guards are all unevenly installed and now look really bad. Complained and a manager came out and told me he would get things fixed. That was 2 weeks ago. Haven’t heard from him since. Very disappointed. If I could rate them a zero star, I would.

Well, I gave Ned Stevens a bad review because they indicated we needed our underground drains cleaned after we had our gutters cleaned. The quote was very high and confusing because they quoted on more drains than we actually had. They called because of the review and indicated they would come and look at the job again on July 3rd. I removed the review but, when they didn’t show or call on the 3rd I called. The service said they had no record of the appointment but we needed drains installed! They said the Manager we had spoken to was in a meeting and would call us back in an hour. I told them not to bother and to cancel our automatic cleanings. I was then asked to hold and the call eventually disconnected. The Manager never called, nor did anyone else. We are done with them. I will recheck to make sure our automatic cleanings have been cancelled.

I was told that the leaf guards would not be a problem to clean my gutters but when the workers showed they left when they saw them. I called the 800 number and they said it would be extra and that they would take them with them instead of putting them back on ..DON’T TRUST THEM !!!!

I would never hire these people again. they destroyed the drip edge on my new roof when installing the new gutter; would not take responsibility for it and insisted I did not have a new roof.

I called for a quote today to have my house powerwashed and the representative was extremely pushy on the phone. When I advised the rep that I would call back to schedule if I was interested, that’s when I knew I would never hire this company. She questioned why I did not want to schedule today, I told her that I would have to check my availability and that it was a little over my price range. She immediately reduced the price which I thought was odd (didn’t know I was dealing with a car salesman). I expressed that I was still not interested. She continued to press on the fact that they were a reliable company etc. and said they were going to show up on a certain date even if I am not going to be home. I had to repeat myself multiple times and tell the representative to not send anyone to my home. First and foremost, I will never have any company work on my house while I am not present nor have a service done without my permission. I do not like haggling with any company or feeling pressured. If they were an honest company to begin with, I would have scheduled the service.

I used the service in Aug 2024. The technicians arrived and left within 15 minutes. When I returned home, there was a tag that didn’t indicate the work had been completed. There was no detailed information about the findings. The customer support was very poor. I will not recommend using this service again.

I was having an issue with gutters draining. Called to have them inspected and cleaned. Crew was here 10 minutes, only cleaned the back gutter, and then had the office call me to say we needed them all replaced – $4000 job. Turns out all we needed was to fix one downspout to allow water to drain out better – cost a few hundred. This is your typical scam – claim a small job is really a big one and hope they frighten you into a purchase you don’t need!

I had no idea when the workers were going to show up – received no information at all. Then, I walked out of the shower and into my bedroom one morning to see men tramping over the entrance roof at eye level with the window in my bedroom. To say I was shocked would be an understatement!! I had to run out of the room and wait until they were far enough away from the window to be able to run in, grab my clothes and get dressed hurriedly in the bathroom.

Obviously, this is unacceptable and an invasion of privacy. Customers need to be informed when contractors will be working at their house JUST so these types of incidents don’t happen.

After the service was done, no one from your company followed up with me, informed me of additional extensions on the gutter that were needed (as I had requested) or reached out at all. I am not thrilled with your service.

Hired them for gutter cleaning. They advised to remove gutter guards. The workers didn’t even have a drill and had to use mine. They tell me work is done and leave. I go outside and they had completely ripped up shingles and just left it like that.
Then Ned Steven’s had me get up on my own roof to take photos to prove there was damage, then had me get my own estimate, just for someone to come look at the damage.
Mind you, customer service was completely rude and unhelpful also. When I asked them to help cause rain was forecast they said “whatever happens, happens, we are fully insured.” That was not the best answer….

I’d choose somewhere else that values your home and not just another number in the machine.

Awful experience…

I hiredNed Stevens for gutter cleaning – when I called to schedule service I asked if I needed to be home ,the customer service rep assured not a problem if I was not . I noted my dog would be at daycare .

On the day of service I did not receive text notifying of crews impending arrival but was not concerned . I was sure to find a tag on my door and evidence of cleaned gutters. Not the case – no tag and gutters still full debris. Three days later a text “ Please let us know how we did” , received a mailed invoice and my credit card charged.

I called customer service and explained the situation – I was told “ the crew must have went to wrong address, it happens” . I asked to speak to supervisor – His explanation was this is an honest mistake., but he wanted to make things right. He offered a $50 credit and I was rescheduled as first job of the day. This time I would be home.

It’s the morning of service waiting 2hours no text and no crew. I call and ask for a supervisor . I get Diana from sales ,she can’t help but offers to find out from labor department the status. Another 1.5 hour passes , I call again get Diana says “ crew maybe 20 mins away” At that point I did not want anyone from that company on my property , canceled service and asked for a full refund.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Two guys from Ned Stevens came to clean my gutters last week. I have a bay window in my living room, which is at the front of the house. Before they arrived (I didn’t know they were coming), I fully opened one of the windows, which rolls out. There is absolutely NO way anyone could miss that the window was open. Just as I came downstairs, I saw one of the guys hosing off the window with water at full force. He was spraying the window back and forth while it was wide open! He completely soaked my sofa, the pillows, the floor, and some books on my coffee table. I was irate! I went outside and confronted them. I was incredibly upset, and I believe, very rightfully so. A terrible, terrible experience.

Customer service was terrible. It took a month for workers to come out and clean the gutters when I was told it would take a week. Each time I called and questioned when to expect them, I was told wrong days and times. We will not be using Ned Stevens Gutter Cleaning again.

Not very happy with the job they did. I called them because I had a clogged gutter. I wasn’t home when they did the work. Once I got home I realized that the gutter was still clogged. I called to let them know about it. The response was “our technicians are very busy during the summer season and they get a little worn out. But we can come back and fix it” they did find a damaged gutter (which I already knew about) and they wanted to make me have them fix that and pay them more, but with the lousy work they did with the gutter cleaning, I am not sure if I want to let them fix it or call someone else.

Did not address the one gutter that I had an issue with. I communicated this to the well spoken phone rep but staff who did the work did not speak English so I was unable to get them to address it. I took care of it 2 days later when the next rain storm came through and I saw the blockage had not gone away. Will not use them again.

Despite multiple reminders they threw the gutter pollens and debris into my perennial flower beds instead of bagging it and I had to clean up after the gutter cleaners
They didn’t charge me when I complained but that doesn’t make up for the mess I spent hours cleaning up and the broken plants

I was told that my gutter cleaning appointment would be no longer than 3 days. When no one came I waited a week and called again. I was told they were delayed but would definitely come in the next three days. Again waited a week and called. Was then told that appointments were given but it was for a week window but they could come anytime that week plus a ten day window. Finally told that I had a definite appointment for the following Wednesday. I then received a text message on Tuesday which said the crew would be here within an hour. I waited 2 hours but they never showed. I called and was told the text message was sent in error. That was at 1 pm. I told them to cancel my service and remove my account with my personal and payment information, as I had been receiving emails for weeks soliciting for additional services. I was told the appointment was cancelled and the account deleted. I then called another company and was got an appointment for the very next day. I left my house for the day and when I returned I found tNed’s had come at 4 pm.
I was emailed a bill for $189 plus tax and a ?? delivery fee?? I had been quoted $ 169.
Stay away from these people. Not worth the aggregation.

I paid them to come replace a gutter on my house because the water was pooling in the middle and leaking over the edge. They replaced the gutter and also cleaned all of the other gutters around the house with a silver membership they talked me into. The new Gutter still has the same exact issue and they are telling me I need more shields and flashing because the pitch of the roof which they said they knew would be a problem before the replacement and now want me to pay over 200$ to add the flashing and shields that they could have just added to my old gutter instead of replacing it. They never even called or emailed me to tell me replacing the gutter was not going to fix the issue, they just told me about their original findings after I called back several times and there was a new story each time i called as well. One lady said they would actually fix the problem at no extra cost, but when they came to check it out they never fixed it or even told me what they did, so i called back to find out what was happening and they said she should have never offered to fix it for free and that I was going to have to pay for the additions to fix the issue. They also came back to do the spring cleaning and all of the cleanouts were full of debri after I even showed them before they left. Very unsatisfied.

Had them come to clean my gutters. After they left I checked and there was still Debris and standing water in my gutters. Called them back and they came again. Still clogged with standing water in them. Each time they were at my house for 20 minutes or less. I called and got a refund.

They came to my house to do a gutter cleaning without warning at 7AM on a freezing morning. They were very late in the season and woke me up trampling on my roof before even notifying me they were there. They froze my downspout using my hose without permission to clean the gutters. They then kicked the gutter to break up the ice and detached it from my house. They denied it was their fault. Once threatened with legal action they came back and just put a bunch of screws in the gutter to attach it back to the house. The gutter is permanently creased, cracked, and leaking. Still to this day, 5 years later, I will never use them again and they deny they did anything wrong and try to make excuses why they aren’t liable for the damage they caused. I have had several third-party companies confirm they absolutely are the cause of the damage. TERRIBLE! NEVER TRUST THIS COMPANY!

This is an unfair review, we informed the customer after the service was completed five years ago that upon inspection we noticed that the gutter was off pitch and holding water. In addition to that and as a courtesy for the customer, we sent a crew back out free of charge to re-nail the gutter. Our installer informed us that the wood behind the gutter was old and had cracks in the fascia. We informed the customer of this five years ago when we performed the return visit. We are an honest and reputable company that did nothing wrong here.

Unfortunately they have lazy workers. I had to have them come back twice just to properly clean the gutters. I had to get on a ladder to show them how much stuff they left in the gutters. No English speaking workers and I had to use a google translation to communicate. They left the gutter guards in a bit of a mess and I had to ask them to fix them back to how they were. They did a good job several years ago installing the gutters but cleaning them was poor.

No notification when arriving, inconsistent with each visit with the strength and amount of mosques & tic repellent used and locations they put it in the yard. On 2 visits front yard was not done. Had to call after each service to complain. Would not recommend Ned Stevens is asked by someone. Very disappointed in the quaility of the service.

Below is a sequence of events related to my requested gutter cleaning at my primary residence in MA.

– Gutter cleaning requested for scheduling last fall; finally was performed in January
– Following initial service, I followed up, as corner by garage was still clogged & overflowing
– 2nd appointment for service made / performed on 4/12
– Followed up, as same corner was still clogged & overflowing; provided photos to email address showing water backup
– After a week of no response from Ned’s, I called back and was told that I was given the wrong email address and was advised to forward the photos to a different address, which I did
– 3rd appointment for service made / performed on 4/25. During the maintenance, crew member informed me that there was a small leak by the corner and that it would require a small amount of silicone sealant, and would be free of change. This would be reflected in the follow-up maintenance report
– Janelle had aligned on calling me to review this info at 1:30pm on 4/26
– By 2pm, since I did not receive a call, I called Ned’s and was connected with Tim. Tim reviewed the report and provided the feedback that the 45′ run with two corners would need to be replaced at a cost of over $1k. I asked how that cost was determined, at which time, Tim took a moment and said that it appeared to be an error, and the true cost should be $600+.
– When I asked why this service was not recommended after either of the previous appointments in January and April 12, Tim was not able to provide an explanation.
– I declined the “recommended” service and cancelled my upcoming service scheduled for the end of November.

I ask that you look at this from a customer’s perspective and question why I would ever trust Ned’s to perform my gutter cleaning again. It took 3 times for the requested work to be completed, had less than stellar customer service at times, and most concerning… an estimate for service that was (1) oddly “missed” during the first 2 visits, (2) contradictory to what the service crew said would be a minor / free patch repair, and (3) grossly over estimated and the estimate was only corrected when I asked how that cost was determined. The events above exemplify an organization where service members / staff are incompetent or dishonest (or both). Ned’s has lost me as a customer.

They did a so-so job cleaning my gutters and that’s all I asked them to do. They noticed a “problem” elsewhere and now they won’t leave me alone. They literally call and spam email me every day. They use different phone numbers. Sometimes it’s even NO CALLER ID. So I am unable to keep up marking them as spam, rob calls or junk mail. I highly recommend you to never use this service. Find someone local to clean your gutters. You will be far better off. Trust me.

I can only assume they did the work since they offered no proof. I asked for photos and they said they do not take photos. Every other company I have ever used provided before and after photos.
I also had 3 missing screws on one gutter. I requested they be addressed when I made the appt. The people who came said nothing to me about repairs. When I called, I was told, “they did a tune up” When I asked for details as far as what that entailed, I was provided zero details.
I cancelled all future appointments with this company as a result.
The person I spoke with basically said that they have been in business for decades and I need to just trust that they are doing what was requested, whether I’m home or not. As far as I know, they hang out in the roof and then leave an invoice.
Also, the clean-up was nothing more than a man with a leaf blower directing everything to behind my garage. This was captured on camera.
I do not plan to work with this company again.

The unannounced gutter cleaners decided to come on Friday and blow debri off my roof onto my yard a little less than an hour after I paid my gardener to clean up my yard! I called and asked that they return to clean up the mess since I was having a family get together on Sunday. I was promised they would come right back. Well they showed up 3 days later in the torrential rain walked around the house and left. So in addition to the $180 they just charged me , I now have to clean up after them.

Not a good experience resolving an issue due to the service. Ned’s was recommended by neighbors, we hired them for gutter cleaning only to find out after they left, a corner piece of our home siding was dislodged during the service. We called to make a claim and Neds was adamant that it wasn’t them and not very helpful in finding a resolution. Mind you, there are gutters a few feet away and right above the dislodged siding, so to say it was impossible is out of touch. We just bought this house and was recently inspected with no signs of siding issues, and no issues with the siding prior to the service. Ned’s was the only people on our roof since we purchased home. While the cleaning service was ok, the fact that they’ve been unhelpful in resolving the issue is unacceptable. Unfortunately, we do not have photo or video proof so that’s a learning lesson. Make sure to take photos of the property before and after service! Their loss as we planned to also hire them for frequent gutter cleanings, insect spraying and additional services. Not to mention, they were super pushy in pushing additional services when we booked the gutter cleaning service we wanted.

I booked a gutter and roof cleaning service a month ago. Last Friday I got a text saying they can’t do the job – when I called the office they told me its because I had my cars in the drive way – LOL! guess what? no one even knocked on the the door and we haven’t seen anyone coming even. They booked me a “priority” service for the following Monday, but it wasn’t really booked – so they said they would come Tuesday – on Tuesday I got the same text -“we can’t do the job” now the office said – the upper gutter is blocked and they can’t remove it- but guess what- no one even came and no one even knocked on the door to ask.
I wasted so much time on something so basic. I ended up calling another service that came the next day and did an amazing job.

If you want a job done, just done- I would look somewhere else.

I had a very bad experience with Ned Steven’s Gutter replacement services. I requested for the existing gutters on the entire left side of the house and received a quote. The quote for the replacement was given without a visit to the house. When the crew turned up they only replaced a section of the gutters and refused to replace a smaller section which had a separate downspout that required an oversize gutter. When I complained to the office they agreed to return on a separate occasion to replace it.
A couple of months went by and after another call to the office another crew arrived but only prepared to replace the horizontal section with an oversize gutter but not the existing downspout which was not oversized. The supervisor of the crew was very loud and rude and suggested that I should not be complaining since the company was replacing it for free. He refused to accept that an oversize horizontal gutter required an oversized downspout. The crew left without replacing the gutter.
I paid for a service that I never received.I canceled my annual Ned Steven’s gutter cleaning service and will never use Ned Stevens Gutter Cleaning service again.

I contacted Ned’s for a simple cleaning. The representative told me that when the scheduled crew planned to arrive, I would be able to reschedule if the time didn’t work for me. That was not the case as when I contacted customer service, they told me they called off the crew, but my home camera showed me the crew proceeded anyway. When the crew returned a second time to complete the cleaning correctly, they left downspouts outside of the fasteners that keep them secured to the house. I have tried contacting customer support over email multiple times and have not gotten no reply. My neighbor also mentioned that when the crew was walking around my roof they were wearing harnesses that were not tied off to anything. Very dangerous, would not recommend contracting.

I had the screen put in over my gutters to prevent leaves and backups. The work done was not detailed or neat. It didn’t have a professional look and that was extremely disappointing. There were also screws and nails left in the yard. I have a dog and that was very concerning!

I don’t know why this place has so many good reviews. They advertise full service gutter cleaning / flushing and inspection and consult for how to improve/repair your gutters but I did not receive any of that. They came and left within 10 minutes and did not flush the gutters or give any results of the inspection or recommendations. It’s clearly a numbers game and they will do the absolute bare minimum required to charge you and leave as fast as possible. I would be fine with that if that is what they advertised but I actually wanted a consultation and quotes because I have some sections of damaged gutters that need repairs.

I called Ned’s to do my gutters. That went fine. Then I called to include mosquito/tick & was given a price on the phone for the next time.

After I accepted, I called another competitor just to compare and the price quoted was a bit lower. So I called Ned’s back — they suddenly were able to chop the price almost in half because of a “friends & family” discount and it just rubbed me the wrong way. I indicated I wasn’t interested in the additional service because I found a better price even with this new discount, it was still pretty competitive. They once again lowered the price even more — I said no thank you. I want to pay the price that is fair and reasonable without sketchy one time discounts.

She was pushy but finally understood. She cancelled it.

Then a week later, they showed up to do the spray. Then I get a message that they couldn’t actually do the spray because of an event I had going on — mind you, I didn’t. I was working from home watching them in their car not even get out the car.

I call back, waste 20 mins of my life cancelling the service and figuring out what happened. I somehow got the same representative that was supposed to cancel it. She apologizes and says she ran into a problem the other day and never executed the cancellation because her system crashed. Again, it’s okay to make a mistake but she kept me on the phone for 20 mins. I ended up just cancelling the gutter service too.

I don’t like working with companies that have the ability to lower prices just because you have a more competitive quote. Quote me a reasonable price the first time and I wouldn’t have cancelled all of my services.

I paid to have my gutters cleaned and they are trying to force me to pay for additional service to finish the job. Will never use this company again.

By way of a caveat, I will concede that businesses are very busy and keeping up with scheduling and services has been challenging.

With that said I stand by my (1) star rating for my experience with Ned Stevens Gut Cleaning & General Contracting for the following reasons:

1. Called to schedule cleaning and repair. The operator indicated it would be about 3 days and that they would be out that Monday as they did not work on Sat or Sun. Couple of weeks go with numerous follow up calls and was told on last call they were in route. [Friday] but then were a no show however they did show up bright and early that Saturday [which they told me they did not work when I had originally called. Ok, will let that slide as just poor communication.

2. Two gentlemen showed but we had a language barrier so I could not communication the need that repairs were needed on the gutters- I tried to point but it got lost in translation. We had just purchased the home and there was deferred maintenance specifically with gutter being a focus. The crew was here no more than 15 minutes tops. They used my hose to as guy on ground followed guy on roof as he picked up the leaves and then they left.

3. I called the company as they handed me the orange door tag “Your Service is Complete But We Found An Issue. Please call for details”.
I called as the 2 guys were still loading their ladder and explained I was under the impression that cleaning also included light repair [which was not the case here]. So was anticipating a follow up crew for repairs. The operator said the report indicated the gutters were fine but the roof had mold.
RED FLAG: no way was there a report [if one even existed ]since the guys were still packing up. I stopped him and said I am not interested in a roof cleaning but in repairing the gutters. We had ice dams over the winter and we have real issues with the gutters. He then proceeded to tell me my gutters were fine and the ice dam had nothing to do with the gutters. Again, I stopped the conversation and informed him several of my downspouts were not even strapped to the house and high winds have taken them down multiple times. Further there are areas of the gutters that are not pitched correctly do to excessive leaf weight [from years of deferred maintenance] so do not drain and there are sections were the nails were pulled away for the fascia leaving gaps up to .5-1 inch in some areas.

Bottom line: Ned Steven missed the marked on the additional work we were looking to do in repairing or replacing our gutters. Trust is a valued commodity more then ever these days – I’ve no trust in this company.

Upside the $25 off first time customers coupon takes the sting out of getting hosed on the cleaning/inspection [pun intended]

I have used Ned Stevens for 5 years and they used to be good, but recent experience with them has been horrible and I don’t think I will use them ever again and would like to advice you to avoid them at all cost too.

I booked a service in Dec and still cannot get service mid Jan. Customer service is rude and privileged, demanding and pressuring you to either pay a $100 additional dispatch fee or sign up for a premium program if you don’t want to wait for the 2 months lead time. (When I booked the service, they mentioned it’s going to be scheduled ASAP).

After I call to ask to cancel, they immediately changed their tone and saying the emergency dispatch fee is $49 and they can waive it.

At this point, I am not convinced of the quality of their work as well as the service they are providing. I don’t think January in Boston is the “biggest season for gutter cleaning” as they claimed. I think they are either very over booked, or struggling with scheduling.

I wanted my gutters cleaned. They said they found an “issue” with my down spout and it needed to be replaced for over $400. When.they came back, they thought they were going to replace all my gutters. I stopped them, which was no easy feat as one of them did not understand English and I had to show them where the downspout was. I had let them talk me into chimney cover and was quoted a price of $170. They came and were here for about 10 minutes and charged me over $300. Apparemtly this is a bait and switch company, taking advantage of a woman living alone.Would not reccomend.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. If I could leave zero stars I would, but that is not an option. Had to call and follow up multiple times for the company to come back on site after cleaning the gutters, to fix the down spouts that were NOT aligned to the gutters. The customer service department has zero accountability and little to no action on any issues, but instead wants to upsell products and services. Took a month to get someone back onsite and during that time multiple heavy rainstorms poured water everywhere onto my house – creating damage and flooding issues. For $405 I would expect top notch service. Highly recommend to steer clear of this overpriced, horrendous quality gutter service company.

1) They are not a family owned business as they claim. This is a large corporation, partially owned by large private equity firms like Carlyle.
2) Called for gutter cleaning in November, they scheduled it for “ASAP”, an entire month has passes and they still have not showed up. Called and checked in twice. Finally on the third call they informed me its looking like mid-January. I mean, why not just wait for next November? Give business to your local family owned small businesses instead of these guys. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I wanted to use them for an estimate and repair of our gutters. The salesman on the phone repeatedly told me it would be a $270 to come out and clean them at which time they would also give us an assessment to fix them. The cleaning crew came and did not clean the gutters properly. We have guards on the gutters and they did not truly clean them.

They also did not speak English. I mention this not as a problem, but they had no way to communicate with me so they had to call their manager who then spoke with me through the phone. He was not on site to see what was happening, nor could I effectively describe to him my expectations. This is a horrible company and I ask anyone reading this to stay away from them and consider using someone else. The positive reviews on Google are very suspect.

On your website in my account it’s clearly stated November 29 for gutter cleaning. In past years you’ve come earlier and have to come back again because most of the leaves were still on the trees around my house. So what do you do again? You show up on November 22 And clean the gutters, While about 25% of the trees still have their leaves such a waste of time on your part, I ignoring the schedule.
Last year I paid to flush out the drywell That the downspouts run into. A month later, after a significant rainstorm, the dry dry wells are overflowing again. So that service was a waste of money.
I have chosen to discontinue all services with your company.

I probably shouldn’t even give them one star. I was a New England gutter Kings customer for a decade and they came out each year for a reasonable price and cleaned my gutters without fail and did a nice job. They sent gentle email and voicemail reminders which was helpful in terms of setting up the annual appointment. I got emails from Ned Stevens about gutter cleaning this year without any explanation that they had actually purchased New England Gutter Kings so I thought they were simply a competitor and did not respond. I’ve did my own research and found that they had purchased England gutter Kings and called them up and scheduled the normal fall gutter cleaning. They did not come through late November so a found a customer service number and called them and after a few attempts got a customer service representative who said that they were waiting until there were more leaves off the trees, which were all down at that point, and I implored them to come as soon as possible and she said they would. It is now almost Christmas and we’ve had several rain storms that overflowed our gutters and threatened to pull them down and yet no sign of anyone from Ned Stevens. They have a called to ask me to sign up for their Vent cleaning services and other services when they’re so pathetic in cleaning gutters. I’m not sure what’s going on at the company and why they’re so disorganized but I reached out to them to see if they’ll even respond and am done with them.

Let me say first the two men were nice. Not sure if they took ten minutes. He took our leaves and blew them on my neighbor’s yard. There wasn’t much but I asked him to blow them off my neighbor and move them into my yard. I got a polite yes but that never happened. I wasn’t paying too much attention and was surprised they finished so fast even though I have a small ranch. I asked about the downspouts and he said the rain would flush them out. I thought a gutter cleaning meant downspouts also. My ignorance I guess. I understand that a business must make a profit and pay their employees. Feels as if I paid too much for a job that just seemed way to quick to be thorough. I mean please “rain will flush the downspouts”. Isn’t there a method to insure they are clear before it rains? Again, nice folks but never again. Oh I just saw how another customer received a downspout flushing with a hose they brought. Rain will flush mine out when I asked them makes no sense. I guess I have unflushable downspouts. Even angrier now. This was supposed to include a complimentary inspection. How on Earth did I pass with those darn downspouts? I laud them for doing the fastest inspection ever on my house. Detailed inspection and gutter cleaning in the blink of an eye, like wow! Good luck to those who have had success with them. I feel as if I did not.

Jay, safety is our number one priority such that we are willing to suffer negative reviews to keep our men safe. Any crew is allowed to walk away from a job where they feel there is a safety issue. At that point, we have our Quality Control Manager review the job, looking at photos of the house and/or on-line images of the house. Here, our Quality Control Manager deemed this house too unsafe for us to perform the work. We are sorry you are upset, but safety is one area where we don’t compromise.

This was my first time. Two men came, they stomped very loudly on my roof, “raked the roof shingles”? No one’s ever done that, it’s not good for shingles to be “hard raked”, or raked at all. They didn’t go to the back, and were gone within 14 minutes (Exactly) start to finish. Didn’t wash anything. They just tossed leaves on the ground from the roof and one “Blew leaves away from the back yard with a blower. Then they left were just gone?? That’s it???

I hired Ned Stevens to clean my gutters in July, and signed up and paid for the twice yearly service. They were supposed to come out to clean the gutters a second time during the first week of December, and despite calling them several times, they have never shown up for the second cleaning. I recommend using someone more reliable and responsive.

GUY CAME OUT AND WAS HERE LESS THAN FIVE MINUTES. CLIMBED THE LADDER IN THE BACK OF HOUSE, TURNED ON BLOWER AND CAME DOWN LADDER ALL WITHIN 30 SECONDS. This company is such a Rip off .. I told them i would call if needed a gutter cleaning in late December or January. They came unannounced on 12/3 a sunday?? My gutters did not need cleaning, We did them ourselves, but did not get the opportunity to call them, since they never contacted me.. guys were there for 14 minutes per ring doorbell, walked around house then left.

I gave them two stars because the customer service tried. I called to schedule a gutter cleaning and man did they make it sound good. Promised all these thing and they would be there in the next two business days. Well.. a week later they finally showed up. When the crew arrived they didn’t speak very much English, so I couldn’t communicate my issues. They began cleaning the gutters and while doing so, throwing all the debris from the gutters onto the ground.. from the second story. Mud and grit was getting slung everywhere. I offered them a bucket, but they didn’t understand me. I stopped and called the office and they recommend calling back after the job to see how well they cleaned up. Well… they left an absolute mess. Mud slung all over the place, plus they didn’t fully complete the job as I was promised. So I call customer service and they offered to help, but didn’t offer much. I did more than the two man crew did by having to clean everything up. So in the end, I can only give them two stars. They failed to keep their promises, their crew wasn’t proficient at their job but customer service tried.

Contacted Ned Stevens to provide gutter cleaning services. They texted me Friday to alert me of the crew arriving, great. Get home after the fact, and the gutter were clean, but they left a mess. Mud all over the front of the gutters, all over the Halloween decorations, my front stoop…so I called, spoke with customer service and explained the problem, he apologized and stated he has a crew dispatched to come out Saturday first thing to clean up. Well, 1:30 rolls around and no crew. So I called and spoke with another customer service tech, he said no one was dispatched to come to my address, so I said well, then give me a partial refund…he’s like best I can do is get someone there Tuesday because it’s supposed to rain the next couple of day, well by then it’s washed away…so tells me he’ll l call dispatch and see who’s in the area and get someone out today…he’ll call me back by 2. No return call. So I called AGAIN, and they ended up giving me a partial refund. Will NOT be using them again, and I don’t suggest anyone else does either.

Ned Stevens flushed all the debris from gutters down into my underground drain and clogged it. There was no blockage in the underground drains before service. Their customer service is rude and don’t care about customer complaints. Instead of addressing customer concern all you hear is that Ned Steven is an A rate company in Market for 60 year. Who cares if you provide this kind of pathetic service. Stay away form this company.

UPDATE (12-15-23) Just received an email from Ned Stevens. It says they WILL honor their warranty even though I am no longer considered a customer. Good to see written commitment.

UPDATE (12-15-23) Only AFTER I responded to Ned Stevens via this posting, did they contact me again, only to tell me that a credit was posted. Not so. Not until I spoke with Gonzalez did he look into the matter and THEN a credit was posted. Originally must have passed it off to a subordinate, who did NOT do it. Pretty much shows how things are done (or NOT done) at Ned Stevens. Then, the amount was the equivalent of ONE gutter cleaning as compensation for the damage done to my lawn. Sodium hypochlorite- (common household bleach, but likely a greater concentration) sprayed onto a grassy lawn drainage area. There was no mention of a refund for the roof cleaning, as I am no longer a customer, and Ned Stevens will NOT honor their two year warranty/guarantee should the roof algae/moss/staining return.

UPDATE: (12-4-23) Contacted by Carlos Gonzalez, COO of Ned Stevens, a WEEK AGO. Basically said to me that they can’t satisfy ME, as though NED STEVENS lousy work was somehow my fault. Gonzalez decided it best to part ways. Gonzalez said he would look into my file to see how to best compensate me for the poor , sloppy mess on this job and the damage caused to my property from the roof cleaning in July, 2023. Have not Heard from him since. A week is surely enough time to credit me for the shoddy work and damage done to my property. ( I have photos ) Be aware that Ned Stevens prefers to conduct all business via phone and not email. I suppose that’s to prevent customers from having any written record trail to follow when there is a problem.I guess I’ll have to go the chargeback route on the credit card. Early December gutter cleaning. Gutters and roof deck MOSTLY blown clean. Debris blown onto my car, INTO MY GARAGE, my driveway and my shrub area and lawn AFTER I had JUST completely cleaned my yard of leaves and was STILL working on the job. I called immediately and spoke to a “supervisor”. FIRST, tried to give me a free cleaning next year (in addition to the one that I was to receive because of the damage done to my lawn after a roof cleaning was performed.) Supervisor said ANOTHER crew would be out the following day BEFORE 10 AM. NO SHOW. FINALLY arrived at almost 2pm. The crew shows me, on their tablet, what was expected to be done. It was NOWHERE EVEN NEAR what I had relayed to the supervisor. Additionally, crews do not speak much or any English. THIS, after I had trouble the first time. I tried contacting Peter Connolly, Group managing director for Ned Stevens via email. I have had NO RESPONSE yet. This outfit is NO LONGER FAMILY owned as they claim on their website. They are owned by Copeba- a Bank located in Brussels, Belgium. Overall, I have had to call them back WAY TOO MANY TIMES. This is it for them.

We reached out to Ned Stevens because we were experiencing a leak in one of the bedroom ceilings due to a gutter that needed to be repitched and they had great reviews online. When I reached out to them I explained the issue (the gutter is pitched the wrong way, creating a pool right over the bedroom window frame). They talked us into their quarterly gutter cleaning plan. We have to pay on the higher side since we have a Victorian style house that has a weird roof, first story and second story gutters. Understandable. We’re told while they do the cleaning they let us know if they discover any issues, as the sales rep explains, they’ll see the pitching issue and will reach out with a recommendation and quote. Perfect. They’ve “serviced” our house five times now (a full year) and they’ve only left the report “gutters cleaned no additional service necessary.” (Not entirely true. One time they said “service recommended” and when we reached out it was some roof cleaning deal they were trying to sell us on). I’m thinking, maybe I’m wrong about where this leak is coming from every time it rains. Call a contractor and he get the ladder out and gets to that awkward spot where the window is. He confirms it’s 100% the gutter causing the leak and “we should at least start by getting it cleaned, and repitched.” This gutter looks like it hadn’t been cleaned once. There were plants growing in it. I’m annoyed because we really didn’t want the cleaning service, but it felt like a good preventative measure to prevent water damage. AND I paid the higher amount because our roof is a wonky shape, but they’re not getting the hard-to-reach gutters anyway. So I reached out through their “complaint” form online and explained the issue and asked for them to reach out to me. Weeks went by and nothing. So I reached out to the sales rep that signed me up, explained the situation and how I filled out the online complaint form and haven’t heard back. Nothing! They even sent guys over for another cleaning in the middle of all this and continued to charge, of course.

We would’ve given them the money to repitch our gutters, like I asked in the first place. But they didn’t evaluate the gutters like they said they would, they didn’t clean the second level gutters (where I specifically said where the leak issue was) even though I’m paying more money for them to get those hard to reach areas, they didn’t respond to my complaint filed through their website and they didn’t reach out when I contacted the sales rep directly. We have bad water damage in the bedroom now because it took us so long to figure out what was going on. You can tell they’re on autopilot. Clean gutters on a rectangle house. Charge. Repeat.

We paid for a ‘full’ package that included leaf removal, flushing all four corners of our rectangular shaped roof gutter system, inspecting all fittings, and repairs/shoring up loose parts of the gutter and drain/down spout system. The crew was only on site for maybe 20-30 minutes. Upon leaving, a card was left on the door saying that we needed to contact the company because they found an issue.
They left our water on and a small bag of leaves to show they had been at the house. No verbal communication.
We called the company. A rep informed us that the crew noticed moss all around perimeter of roof. I asked to see evidence. I was informed the crew could not take photos since they did not go on the roof. That is incorrect as we heard the crew walking on the roof.
I was then pitched a power washing service that included some environmentally safe products for the price of more than $700 to presumably take care of the moss and supposedly prevent deterioration of the roof shingles.
I asked to have the crew come back and explain what they saw and take pictures as I wasn’t comfortable accepting just the word of the rep. I was told that the crew did not speak English and could/would not come back. I asked for the written report from the crew with what they saw which was basically no more than 10 words in some type of short hand.
If Ned Stevens wants to sell me a $700+ service I will need more than 10 words to justify/explain what the issue is.

This place was recommended by two friends. I should’ve went with my gut and reviews I’ve seen but I didn’t. Now I know to go with my gut. I filled out a form online. They called immediately. I missed the call and called them back. Than I said hold on and I accidentally hung up on them. That should’ve been a sign to not hire them, but I hadn’t cleaned my gutters in many years. They kept trying to call me back and I ended up calling them back. They quoted $179 + $5 safety fee + tax. They tried locking me into a 4 cleaning contract for $139/visit paid in Full. I declined. Then they tried locking me into the same contract but pay per visit at $159. I declined. I was promised a text before coming out and a door tag that the job was done and any suggestions. I got neither. Family run business? They must not take their job seriously. The only way I know they were there is that they rang my Ring doorbell. When I got home I could still see leaves hanging out of the gutters and they left a black bag at the curb. I was never informed that they would leave their garbage. I might have to put a ladder up and see if they really did clean them. I don’t think the value is there. I will never use them again and definitely do not recommend them. They didn’t even call me after to see if I was satisfied or had any questions. My HVAC company always calls after service calls. This is a service call too. You hear family run and you think oh wow they must care about their customers. But that’s not the case. Stay away from them.

We have a full 30 day no clog guarantee and know the gutters are all cleaned. We do not our a feedback survey after the job was done and it was sent to your email. We care about our customers. They left black contractor bags of the debris cleaned out of our gutter in the middle of our road. No communication to was given to us. Our neighbor’s ripped open the bags thinking someone dumped trash in the middle of our neighborhood.

I called to have a corner section of gutter fixed by clamping it back together. With these heavy rains I now have a lake at the corner of my house. I was then sold on a $300 gutter cleaning and inspection, during which they would fix the clamp on the gutter. Not only did they not fix the clamp, but they left a tag on my door saying they found a problem and to call the office, without even telling me the problem they found. When I called the office the person had no idea what the problem was, said nothing was entered into the computer by the crew, but he would look into it immediately and call me back. It’s been two days and still no call back. The leak in the gutter is now worse than before and I have to try to get a reputable company to come out and fix the original problem. Not only did they not fix my problem, but I’m out $300 and still have no idea what else they found wrong, and nobody calls me back. I would not recommend Ned Stevens at all.
