I chose to get a service plan, which included several gutter cleanings throughout the year. They will not tell you when they are coming, they just text you as they are pulling up to your house. No email, no reminders, no notifications, nothing. Several times I would have to run outside to ask them to re-schedule because there was nothing in the gutters to clean.
After the first cleaning, I received a click bait email from them, saying that their inspection had revealed an urgent need for repairs. When I called they refused to tell me what the problem was until I agreed to more services. After hemming and hawing with them on the phone for 20 minutes, they finally sent me an email with the results of the “inspection” which was just pictures of our house and the recommendation that we get all our gutters replaced by them. No explanation why or what the problem was. I had to call again and have another frustrating 20 minute conversation, laden with sales pitches, before they would tell me what was going on.
The package I purchased is supposed to include taking care of all the leaves and debris that they clean out but they always leave a plastic garbage bag of gunk at the end of our driveway after each visit.
I had to have another long conversation on the phone in order to make sure that this service would not auto-renew and auto-bill me for a second year. I tried to indicate this on my online account, but it kept showing up anyway.
They are finally here for the last service of the year-long plan I paid for and they are slamming their ladders against the house.
I have had multiple conversations with their customer service over the last year and they have all been frustrating and unclear. I would not recommend Ned Stevens to anyone.
EDIT: I was able to schedule my final visit for a specific time and date only after a terse and extended conversation with customer service.
My issue with the additional recommended services was that I had to jump through hoops (2 separate phone calls, being on hold multiple times) in order to get in writing what the problems were.

We asked for you to call the office so that a representative could best explain the concerns with you. As we explained, the problem is just with one area of your home, not all the gutters. We did our best to keep you happy, including giving you an exact appointment date for you service. We are an honest and reputable company.
