It was a fair quote but a poor experience from start to not finished.
I placed a down payment for gutter replacement and new installation, and never heard from them. 2 weeks later I called and they said they don’t have an actual booking schedule, that they would call me on the same day they plan on showing up. I was not satisfied with that arrangement so they gave us a date, and on that date they were a no call/no show. I called them again and arranged the installation for the following day.
They were very nice installers, they came late then and ran into a materials issue. After removing my already existing, working fine gutter, they didn’t have the correct size replacement gutter, but thought it was in the warehouse; said they’d be back tomorrow, maybe, weather pending. There was no rain that next day, but big rain was on the way, so I told them we can not be without a gutter, at the business entryway. Again a no call/no show. No communication whatsoever.
I called the Rep, he had no idea about any of this and it was too late for him to reach out; he would take care of it in the a.m.
Never heard from him, so I called him again, while my customer entrance was completely flooded, a lake of water and a mess for clients and staff. It was embarrassing. This is not how I run my business. Ned Stevens Gutter Company was neglectful and caused this unnecessary issue.
My rep said they’ll be out the following Monday, then threatened to charge me more for their materials issue. We’ll see.
Today I get a notice that they enrolled me in their Ned Stevens Autopay Program and without authorization they charged my cc $880. My Ned Stevens Rep could not understand why I was charged, since neither he or I enrolled me into a Ned Stevens Autopay Program. I, in fact specifically told the rep not to hold my credit card data, I would pay at the end.
They sent me a thank you email for the unauthorized $880 they submitted to my cc company so I responded back to that email regarding this unauthorized, unscheduled money they took and don’t you know, that email does not accept any reply’s. So now this is in the hands of Capital One.
This experience has been wasteful of my time and money. On so many levels, I don’t recommend. Go with a local reputable company who has not been bought out by Ned Stevens.
